Astros Minor League Roster Moves

The Chronicle reported today that, with the trade of SS Gregorio Petit to the Yankees, SS/2B Nolan Fontana will be reporting to Fresno.

In addition, although not yet reported by the Astros, rumor has it that RHP Kyle Weiland has retired. I find this to be a credible report, but again it is unconfirmed. Although Kyle Weiland may be gone, I trust that his legacy will live on as Astros fans continue to declare the mythical Weiland Island to be the likely residence of players who have disappeared from sight.

UPDATE: I am going to take this as confirmation.
